Hello Humankindness: Elks Lodge hands out hundreds of toys to children

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - With the assistance of the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office, the Elks Lodge 266 hosted a huge Christmas party Thursday in Bakersfield.

Over 300 children were invited and hundreds of toys were handed out. Santa Claus was there for every child who wanted to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

"We give them lunch, we give them Santa and most of all, we give them a present," said Nancy Fenwich, exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 226.
