Hello Humankindness: High school students raise money for elementary school sports gear

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Dozens of high school students are spreading kindness and giving back to a local school. 

Two Liberty High School students came up with the idea to give back to North Beardsley Elementary School after finding out students were in need of some sports equipment.

Then 60 other high school students decided to help out, and have already raised $600 dollars.
They met with the Beardsley Elementary kids Wednesday.

"I think it just helps us by realizing that not everything we have we should take for granted," Liberty High School sophomore Chelsea Mitchell said.

"These kids are so thankful for everything that we have and helping out these kids is awesome,"
