DELANO, CA - Kern County court documents show a child porn investigation names two elected officials. A probable cause statement shows Homeland Security officers searched the home of a former Delano school board president and seized computers and external hard drives, some of which belong to a Delano city councilman.

"I'm amazed. I'm shocked. It's just right there," said neighbor Joshua Arriola.

According to court documents and the Delano Joint Union High School District's website, the home of Jean Flores and Thomas Gilbert Wilson was searched. She's the former school Board of Trustees president.

"That's right next door, right across the street," said Arriola.

According to court documents, a special agent logged onto a sharing website last fall and noticed an IP address downloading more than 100 child pornography files.

According to court documents, the special agent staked out the home from November to March and noticed a vehicle belonging to Delano Mayor Pro Tem Ricardo Chavez coming and going several times. The document states during that time 285 child pornography files were downloaded on the internet inside the home.

Neighbors said they're concerned.

"I never knew the guy," said Arriola. "He was always up late and you know it's sad that there's a whole bunch of kids that live around the neighborhood."

According to the search warrant, on April 25th Homeland Security officials entered Flores' home and seized nearly two dozen items including six computers, ten external hard drives, CDs, an iPod, a camcorder, and an XBox 360. The court document said three of those items belong to Mayor Pro Tem Ricardo Chavez.

Chavez would not speak on camera, but released a statement saying "I am not the subject of any investigation. This is a very serious case being in the wrong place at the wrong time. My friend of almost ten years, Jean, has also not been named or is the subject of any investigation. Her case is one of family dynamics."

Flores could not be reached for comment Monday.
