A hospice home in northwest Bakersfield went up in flames Saturday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 1 p.m. on Marty street.
Firefighters say flames were coming from a back bedroom and the attic.
Fire crews say the fire quickly moved to the property next door but was put out before any damage was done.
Crews say no one was inside the hospice home when the fire started.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Damage is pegged between $50,000 to $60,000.
