BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Kern County Sheriff's deputies responded to East Bakersfield High School for a report of a body on the west side of the campus early Wednesday morning, according to KCSO.
Deputies got the call just after 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, and when they arrived to 2200 Quincy Street, the reporting party led them to the body of an obviously deceased adult male lying on the sidewalk, according to KCSO.
Deputies said the body had been dead for a period of time.
The decedent did not appear to have any signs of trauma and detectives believe it is possible the decedent died at another location.
The investigation is ongoing.
