Civil rights activist Dolores Huerta attends 2018 Oscars

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Civil rights activist Dolores Huerta attended Sunday night's 90th annual Academy Awards in Hollywood.

Not only did she walk the red carpet, she was also invited to be part of one of the evening's powerful performances.

Common and Andra Day's performance of "Stand up for Something" was made particularly impactful thanks to the ten activists who joined them on stage, including Huerta.

For the performance, artists Day and Common wanted to spotlight 10 individuals working to create change.

The Dolores Huerta Foundation posted about the honor last night on Facebook, expressing their gratitude at being involved.
