BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern County Sheriff's Office says a deputy has been arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident.
Lawrence Thatcher, an eleven-year veteran of the department, will be booked on spousal battery and false imprisonment charges. Thatcher was arrested Thursday morning, following reports of a domestic violence incident Wednesday night.
A KCSO news release says detectives developed probable cause to make an arrest. Thatcher has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
