Lawmaker introduces bill aimed at educating hairdressers about signs of domestic abuse

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Assemblymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) has introduced a new bill aimed at educating hair dressers about the warning signs of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
 
The bill also calls for educating salon professionals on how to offer support to their clients and connect them with resources.
     
According to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence -- around 40 percent of women will experience intimate partner physical violence in their lifetime.
