Bakersfield College offers sessions to prepare for an active shooter situation

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield College Safety is offering seven sessions in March to prepare for an active shooter situation at a public place, such as schools or malls. 

This comes over two weeks after the deadly shooting at Majory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida that left 17 people dead. 
The sessions are available at the following dates and times: 
• Friday, March 2, 2018
• 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. 
• Tuesday, March 6, 2018  
• 9 a.m.-10 a.m., 1:00 p.m.-2 p.m., or 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 21, 2018 
• 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., or 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. 

The training will be held at the BC Simonsen Center.
