California City police seize hundreds of marijuana plants in Friday raid

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - California City police raided a home Friday afternoon and found an illegal grow house containing hundreds of marijuana plants.

Officers raided a home on the corner of Medio Avenue and Redwood Boulevard at around 4 p.m. Earlier in the day, California City police said it received information that allowed them to get a search warrant for the home.

According to a release, officers found more than 700 marijuana plants inside that home. Police also said whoever was inside, bypassed an electrical meter and hung extension cords to power lights used for the grow throughout the house. 

Police did not find anyone inside the home. They continue their investigation.
