BPD: Man thought to have been murdered died of natural causes

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man who was thought to have been murdered died of apparent natural causes, the Bakersfield Police Department said Wednesday afternoon.
Randy Adams, 61, was found dead inside an apartment in the 4500 block of Christmas Tree Lane on Friday, Bakersfield police said.
His brother, Ronny Adams, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The Kern County District Attorney's office Tuesday sent the murder case back to the Bakersfield Police Department for further review, until the coroner had determined a cause of death.
However, a coroner's news release Wednesday evening said Adams cause and manner of death is pending further studies.
Ronny Adams was released from custody Tuesday night and no charges will be filed, deputy DA Andrea Kohler said.
