Felon found with assault rifles accepts plea deal

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A convicted felon who was found with a personal arsenal of rifles last month, has taken a plea deal in court.

Last month, sheriff's deputies arrested 34-year-old Eric Palmer after several assault rifles were found in his car and his East Bakersfield home.

Palmer, a convicted felon, can't legally own the guns.

Investigators also found that the serial numbers were scratched off the weapons, adding on to his 15 charges.

Palmer pleaded no contest to just two counts: owning a firearm as a felon and driving on a suspended license.

Palmer will be sentenced in April.
