Great Pyrenees rescued from Highway 99 ready to be adopted

Shelter going through applications for the in-demand dog

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A dog rescued from Highway 99 last week is available for adoption and lots of folks are eager to take her home.

The great-Pyrenees was saved by a CHP officer with the help of drivers who stopped on the highway, near White Lane on Feb. 28. 

Julie Johnson, with the SPCA and City of Bakersfield Animal Shelter says they're going through a lot of applications, making sure they make the best choice to send the dog to the right home.
