'Kern Cast' podcast to launch Tuesday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Kern Cast is a brand new, locally owned media platform where hosts have total, unedited freedom over the content of their shows.

The live stream podcast will air out of the Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame, covering a wide range of topics including politics, news, lifestyle, food and entertainment.

A five minute preview of the show will be posted on Facebook before the full episode goes live on their website.

"What we've done is we've taken that Facebook Live idea and we've put it into a website so people will be able to view past shows, they'll be able to tune in live to different people and different podcasts," owner T.J. Esposito said.

"Some conservative, lots of people from both sides will be coming in, we will be interviewing all the candidates, things of that nature."

Local radio host Inga Barks will join Denice Gary and local veteran Chad Garcia as hosts on "Kern Cast."

KNZR let Barks go in January, along with fellow host Jaz McKay.

"Kern Cast" will also feature Kern County talent like The Bored in Bakersfield and Foodies.

They will have a live show Monday through Friday starting at 4 p.m.

Their first show goes live Tuesday afternoon on their website.
