Lake Isabella dam safety project moves forward

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has some progress to report on the Lake Isabella dam safety modification project.

The corps said it has completed the Phase II dams and spillways design and has begun the contracting process, but it is currently under protest.

Officials say they expect to have it resolved by January 2018. The entire project is expected to be completed by 2022.
