Levee breach in northwest Bakersfield causes roadway flooding

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A levee breach in northwest Bakersfield caused some roadway flooding Friday morning, Kern County Fire officials said.

The breach of the one foot high levee happened near Rudd Avenue and Brimhall Road.  

Rudd is closed between Palm Avenue and Brimhall.  

No evacuations are ordered and there are no reports of property damage.
