Local eatery closed because of rodent activity

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A local eatery is closed tonight due to rodent activity on the premises.

The Public Health Department closed Circle Deli on Golden State Avenue on Friday. Inspectors say they found Styrofoam cups contaminated with rodent feces and urine. They also found rodent feces along the center wall in a dry storage room.

The Health Department says the facility must contact a licensed pest control company to conduct a sanitation survey. 17 News reached out to the eatery for comment, but we have not heard from them for this story.
