Man assaulted in home invasion by acquaintances

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Tehachapi police arrested two men who they say broke into a home and assaulted a man. 

It happened Saturday in the 300 block of Pepper Drive at about 3 a.m.

The victim says two men rang his doorbell and when he opened the door, they attacked him. 

Police say the men then forced their way in and beat the victim until  he was unconsious.  A friend found the victim and took him to the hospital. 

The man later identified his attackers, and police arrested 26-year-old Lavail Johnson, Jr. and 23-year-old Breon Mosley. 

Police say they believe the three men are acquaintances and a fight earlier at a bar led to the attack. 

Mosely and Johnson both are facing charges of burglary, kidnapping, mayhem, and battery with serious bodily injury.
