Police search for 3 suspects wanted in Truxtun Avenue murder

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Police Department said it is on the search for three suspects wanted for murder following an assault on Truxtun Avenue where the victim died more than a week later.

Police said on Nov. 4 just after 11:30 p.m., three suspects assaulted a man in the 200 block of Truxtun Avenue. The victim, 30-year-old Isaac Matthew Ortiz, was transported to a local hospital but died of his injuries eight days later on Nov. 12.

Wednesday, Bakersfield police released images and descriptions for three suspects wanted in Ortiz's murder.

The first suspect is described as a male in his late 20s, with a medium build, short black hair. He was wearing a dark colored T-shirt with writing on the front, blue jeans and was riding a mountain style bicycle.

The second suspect is described as a male in his mid- to late-20s, with a medium build, shaved head, goatee and a possible tattoo under his eye. He was wearing a light-colored shirt and light-colored shorts.

The third suspect is described as a male in his early to late-20s, with a medium build, long dark hair tied into a pony tail. He was wearing a light colored hooded sweater, dark shorts and a light-colored backpack with dark-colored trim.
