BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Sixth Annual Walk for Valley Fever is set for later this month.
Each year, this walk put on by Valley Fever Americas Foundation, encourages valley fever survivors to come out and support one another and to help raise awareness of the disease.
The foundation supports research toward a cure and development of a vaccine.
Walk for Valley Fever is on Saturday, Aug. 19 at Pioneer Village at Kern County Museum on Chester Avenue.
The walk begins at 8 a.m. and costs $20 per person.
