Shooting in east Bakersfield leaves man in critical condition

Police say Jose Sanchez, 28, of Bakersfield showed up at a local hospital Tuesday night with a gunshot wound. He had surgery and is listed in critical condition.
BAKERSFIELD, CA -- A man remains in critical condition following a shooting Tuesday night in east Bakersfield.  Bakersfield Police responded to a 9-1-1 call Tuesday night in the 100 block of Kincaid Street.  Police learned there had been an altercation and some of those involved had left the area. 

One of those involved, police say, showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.  He was identified as Jose Sanchez, 28, of Bakersfield.  He had undergone surgery. 

Police say there have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
