Shooting in south Bakersfield leaves 19-year-old dead, two teens wounded

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A shooting in south Bakersfield leaves a 19-year-old dead and two other teenagers wounded, the shooter is still on the loose.

It happened Saturday just after 2a.m. in the 1800 block of Isil Avenue, near South H Street and Fairview Road.

Bakersfield Police say they responded to reports of shots fired.

When they arrived on scene the 19-year-old was found dead on scene after being shot.

Another 19-year-old was suffering from several gunshot wounds.

A 16-year-old was shot in the leg and is expected to be okay.

By our count, this is the 46th homicide in Kern County this year.

Authorities are investigating, anyone with information is asked to call BPD at 327-7111.
