Fire breaks out at Costco

A Kern County Fire spokesman said several banded cardboard bales caught fire on the loading dock.
BAKERSFIELD, CA- An investigation is underway into what caused an early morning fire outside the Costco on Rosedale Highway.

Kern county fire said they received several reports of flames and smoke just before 2 a.m.

A Kern County Fire spokesman said several banded cardboard bales caught fire on the loading dock.

Fire crews called out a second alarm to keep flames from spreading inside the building.  They were able to get it under control in about ten minutes.

There were no injuries.
