Garces High School begins search for new head football coach

Garces President John Fanucchi says the search has begun for a new head football coach for the 2014 season.
BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Garces Memorial High School is searching for a new football coach after Coach Jim Maples was told the school has decided to "take a new direction in its football program."

John Fanucchi, President of Garces Memorial High School, announced Tuesday that Garces is searching for a new head football coach for the 2014 season, according to a news release.

Mr. Richard Sexton, Superintendent for Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Fresno, thanked Coach Maples for his service to the Garces football program, but explained to him that Garces has decided to go in a new direction, the news release said.

Garces is currently asking anyone interested in applying for the head football coach position to contact the school and request an application.
