According to prosecutors, Salter removed the body to a remote location and burned it. The victim's body was discovered damaged and charred and exposed to the elements about a month after the shooting. An autopsy revealed two bullet holes to the back of the head.
Salter is scheduled to be sentenced June 12. He is facing a sentence of up to life in prison without parole.
