UPDATE: Arrest made in fatal shooting on McKee Road in southwest Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - UPDATE: Bakersfield police say an arrest has been made in relation to a fatal shooting Wednesday morning in southwest Bakersfield.  

Police say Michaele Bowers, 49, shot Raymond Ingram, 51,the owner of J's Place, who died at the scene on McKee Road. Investigators say Bowers and Ingram had children in common: however don't appear to have been married.  Bowers will be booked into the Kern County jail on suspicion of murder.  Bowers is being held without bail in the downtown jail.  She is scheduled to appear in court Friday.  


UPDATE: A man was shot to death in a shooting on McKee Road in an apparent domestic situation.

Bakersfield police confirm a man was found dead inside his home in the 5600 block of McKee Road after a woman allegedly shot him. This is about half a block south of Ridgeview High School.

Police arrived on scene around 6:30 this morning after receiving a call of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found the man's body.

A woman inside the home was taken into custody.  Police say the relationship between the man and woman is unclear, but they do have children together. The children were not home at the time.

Schools around the area have not been affected by this situation.
