BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Jesse in Bakersfield wants to know why there are different colored jail jumpsuits for the inmates at the Kern County jails?

We check in with Ray Pruitt, the Kern County sheriff's spokesman.  Turns out the system has its own 'uniform code'.  Pruitt says, the color of an inmate's jumpsuit is determined by the facility where he or she is being held.

As far as which color corresponds to a particular facility -- Pruitt said he couldn't reveal that information, for security reasons.
