Lina Washington joined the 17 News team in February of 2013. She is the Weekend Sports Anchor on 17 News at 5 and 11 p.m. and a news reporter on weekdays.
Lina Washington joined the 17 News team in February of 2013. She is the Weekend Sports Anchor on 17 News at 5 and 11 p.m. and a news reporter on weekdays.

Lina comes to us from the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona, where she attended Arizona State University. She graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

Lina was an anchor and a multimedia journalist for the school's Cronkite News Watch, which aired daily statewide. She was also a sports reporter for Sun Devils 101, a sports show that aired on Fox Sports Arizona.

Lina was a member of the Arizona State Spirit Squad. She enjoys dancing, hiking, Bikram yoga and harmonizing to songs in her car.

Lina's dad, Robert Washington, was a wide receiver for Notre Dame's National Champion 1973 football team.
