Congress reaches a deal to fund the federal government and end the shutdown.
(NBC News) After weeks of fighting, Senators have announced a bipartisan plan to to raise the country's borrowing limit and re-open the government.

The agreement re-opens the government through mid January and extends the debt limit through February 7th.
