Police searching for two suspected robbers

Bakersfield Police say one of the men punched a loss prevention officer in the face at the Target at Valley Plaza earlier this month.
BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Bakersfield Police needs the public's help identifying and two men wanted for robbery. Police say on February 11, 2014, at 12:30 pm, the suspects entered the Target at 2901 Ming Avenue, where one of the men selected and concealed merchandise, while the other acted as a “lookout.”

As both men were exiting the store the Loss Prevention Officer identified himself in order to detain the pair.   One of the men punched the Loss Prevention Officer in the face. As the two struggled with the Loss Prevention Officer, one of the men brandished a knife; however, no injuries were sustained during the struggle. Both of the men fled westbound towards Wible Road on foot.

Police describe one of the men as Hispanic, 16-18 years old, 5’7”-5’8”, 130 lbs, thin build, braces, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a dark colored Dallas Cowboys baseball cap.

The other man is described as Hispanic, 16-18 years old, 130 lbs, slim build, wearing a grey and white striped shirt, black pants, and a black and grey Oakland Raiders baseball cap.
