Police seek domestic violence, kidnapping suspect

Police say Sergio Hernandez grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the hair and started dragging her toward a vehicle parked in the 8600 block of Chaumont Court.
BAKERSFIELD, CA - Police need your help finding a suspect wanted for domestic violence, kidnapping and a felony warrant for domestic violence involving the same victim.

Police say the morning of August 3, 35-year-old Bakersfield resident Sergio Hernandez responded to his ex-girlfriend’s residence in the 8600 block of Chaumont Ct. When his ex-girlfriend answered the door, Hernandez grabbed her by the hair and began dragging her toward a vehicle parked to the front of the residence. As Hernandez was dragging the victim he kicked her several times.

The victim’s current live-in boyfriend confronted Hernandez and Hernandez fled the area. Hernandez is on Post Release Community Supervision, also known as AB109, for a Domestic Violence, Rape and False Imprisonment incident involving the same victim.

Hernandez is described as a: Hispanic, 35, 5’11”, 185 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.
