Deputies looking for suspected bank robber

The sheriff's department says someone dressed as a woman but appeared to be a man, walked up to a teller Thursday at Chase Bank on North Chester and demanded money.
BAKERSFIELD, CA -- The Kern County Sheriff’s Office needs your help identifying a person wanted for bank robbery.  Deputies say on Thursday morning that person entered the Chase Bank at 2314 North Chester Avenue in Oildale.  He or she approached a teller and demanded currency.

The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency and the suspect then fled the bank on foot into the neighborhood north east of the bank.

Deputies say the suspect was described as being dressed as a woman but appeared to be a man. If anyone has information they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
