Long-time Bakersfield physician has passed away

Dr. Boyce Dulan died Wednesday at his home from pancreatic cancer. He was 72 years old.
BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Dr. Boyce Dulan who served for 22 years as Deputy Health Officer for the Kern County Department of Public Health has died.  He was 72.  Dr. Dulan attended Pacific Union College, Oakwood College and received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Loma Linda University in 1981.

Prior to his career in medicine, he taught math and science at Oakwood Academy and College and Golden Gate Academy. He was a life-long supporter and advocate for Adventist Christian education, health ministries and the holistic development of young people.

He was the founder and director of the Boys to Men and Girls to Women tutorial program in Bakersfield, California. Boyce is survived by his loving wife Monica, his son Dr. Michael Dulan of Dayton Ohio, his six grandchildren, his five brothers and only sister, and a host of relatives and friends.
