No charges to be filed against Perez campaign

Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green says there was no evidence of any fraudulent activity. And there were no attempts to improperly influence the voter's choice.
BAKERSFIELD, CA -- Prosecutors will not be filing a criminal complaint against the Leticia Perez for State Senate Campaign.  District Attorney Lisa Green said in statement Friday there is insufficient evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the campaign.

She added there was no evidence of any fraudulent activity, attempts to improperly influence the voter's choice , willful interference with the secrecy of a ballot, or the ballots' timely return to election officials.

Green said their investigation did reveal noncompliance with the delivery requirements of vote-by-mail ballots by campaign canvassers.
